Visit the web site of the manufacturer of your hard drive (Maxtor.com, westerndigital.com, segate.com etc) and download the hard drive installation utility.
This free download will overcome ANY BIOS LIMITATIONS without requiring a BIOS update.

: The options in the bios are all in auto detect, I install WinNT 4.0 Service Pack 1 from the cd, but in the firts boot the system hang (the installation start whit floppy disk).
